Since the "Catholic Quarterly's" arrival Father Fidelis Stone got a letter from Dr. Horstman the editor, requesting a contribution. At present Hill is giving a mission. Once back in Chile, Hill hopes to stay there and find time for reading and writing. The news from Rome has come and is very unsatisfactory. They are promised a visitor within a year. They are grievously in need of men. The new mission in Australia is crying out for more men. The English province had to refuse the offer of Bishop HerbertVaughan, for a foundation at Manchester. Hill is glad Our Lady's "Expectation" is Hill's birthday. Father Thomas J. Jenkins has written characteristically. Their revolution was quite bad. Sixteen hundred were killed and wounded in the streets. All danger of a revival is not yet over. When Bishop Vaughan asked their English provincial for the Manchester foundation he particularly mentioned Fidelis and Hill. :: X-3-l A.L.S. 6pp. 12mo.
