Welch had a letter from Father Timothy Danahy who said Hudson was not well. Father Robert Fulton, S.J. has gone to California for his health. Father Tim tells Welch there are 315 at Boston College. Holy Cross is flourishing with over 200 boarders. Father Henry J. Shandelle, S.J. has 42 in his rhetoric class. Welch asks Hudson if he saw Dr. Thomas Dwight's introductory lecture at Harvard Medical School. Eulalie Iasigi paid them a visit a short time ago. She came with Mrs. Charles Honen ? to Baltimore to see Antoinette Sister Angela Honen? the Carmelite. Welch is teaching metaphysics this year. Father Connolly has taken the place of prefect of studies. He was Willie Duan?'s teacher in rhetoric. Their Berkeley Street Sodality in Boston, over which Miss Carey presides, is gradually increasing and has opened a night school for poor girls. Dorsey has apostatized and taken his family with him His wife, Emily Farnum, was a convert of Welch's. Welch saw Hudson's sisters on Massachusetts Avenue some time ago. Father A.F.
