Richards, Henry L., Winchester, Massachusetts, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 March 21
Scope and Contents
Richards thanks Hudson for his note and for returning the item about E. O'G. Fenton has fallen from his original righteousness. He encloses a P.C. circular sent to Patrick Donahoe. 50 of these vile books distributed over the land. He was glad to meet Brother Jarlath Jeremiah O'Brien, but regretted not being able to do more for him. There is much difficulty in getting the men of Winchester to subscribe to Catholic newspapers. Father Denis Lee called upon the men to subscribe to the Catholic American. The fact is that they want nothing more religious than the Herald and the Globe. Richards is much exercised at present by the insidious policy of the "Boston Public School Union". :: X-3-k A.L.S. 4pp. 8vo.
