Sweeny is translating the lives of several saints at the request of Archbishop Patrick W. Riordan . The Spanish-speaking people of the city have great devotion to Rita. Last year Sweeny translated her life and novena for the Sisters of the Holy Family. They told Brother John Chrysostom about Rita's life and he desired it for the Ave Maria.
