James Farnham Edwards, at present in London, has advised Gasquet to send Hudson a copy of the work he recently published on the Suppression of the Monasteries. The work was undertaken at the express order of Pope Leo XIII. Edwards told Gasquet about the influence the Ave Maria possessed.
