Van Dyke explains that the parish school engages all the time he can spare from his regular work. Philip Brownson left Notre Dame in disgrace. Van Dyke wrote Father Walsh a letter and asks Hudson if he can see it and tell him what he thinks of it and how Walsh received it. Madame Van Dyke, now is Rochester, is in better health thanformerly. Mrs. Van Dyke is not very strong. He asks Hudson to visit him and dine with him on the evening of January29th. He expects the company of Bishop John S. Foley :: X-3-i A.L.S. 2pp. 4to.
