Scope and Contents
She sends the pamphlet; as Hudson observed, the editor deals in petit larceny. As for the stories Blessed Virgin Mary, she finds it is a translation of it in a work of Father Denis, S.J., published by Gill and Son of Dublin. She read aloud Ella Lorraine Dorsey's paper, "Memorable Congress," on the Congress of Colored Catholics , which was liked, but Sister was pained at her reflection on Father Augustus Tolton's perserverance. He is a priest although of the sons of Ham. The Sisters at Manhattan are delighted that the weather allows the new House to grow fast. Is Hudson aware that the "Cure d'Ars" has been translated from Abbe Monin's Life and published with a preface by Cardinal Manning? Torresdale has been on the qui vive this week on account of Louise Drexel's Wedding. :: X-3-i A.L.S. 6pp. 12mo.
