Scope and Contents
Stoddard acknowledges receipt of the photo, medal and Agnus Dei. A woman who boards in the same house brings him the London Telegraph daily. Because she stays forever, she ruins Stoddard's day. Stoddard refused her invitation to take tea with her. Regarding the money of Stoddard's that Hudson holds, he should send it to Stoddard's sister. His only remaining brother is without moral responsiblitiy, and his father must depend on Stoddard's sister for support. Stoddard knows Charles Kent by name only. He has heard that Rennell Rudd ? is connected with the English legation and that he has edited the Empress Frederick's life of her late husband. He was glad to hear that Professor William Hoynes was kept out of the clime of the capital by the angels who watch over him. :: X-3-i A.L.S. 7pp. 12mo.
