By permission of Bishop John J. Keane and in the name of Father J. Doherty, the pastor, Payne asks Hudson's influence in making application for Holy Cross Brothers to come to Norfolk in September and take charge of the Boys School. Everything is ready for the opening of school in September. Attached to the church is a brick building furnished with all the needs of a good school house.
