She regrets that her unexpected departure from St. Mary's made it impossible for her to see Hudson. She would like to return to the quiet of St. Mary's and remain as long as she pleased but she is afraid that pleasure will be denied her should Mother Augusta be re-elected. She will accept Sister Aloysius' invitation and spend a week at Notre Dame.
