MacDonnell, Sister Mary Magdalene, Lisbon, Portugal, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1888 June 12

 Item — Box: CHUD 12
Identifier: CHUD X-3-g

Scope and Contents

MacDonnell claims that despite the heat wave, the climate of Portugal is sensibly colder than it was when she arrived there in 1865 and it is telling on the orange groves. An attack of rheumatism has prevented her from finishing the translation of the Hungarian Tale for the Ave Maria. As for her story, "My Wings", Hudson improved it greatly. She sends Hudson a photograph of Cajetan Cardinal Masella, who is now Econome of the Propaganda. :: X-3-g A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
