Stoddard has just spent a couple of pleasant days at the Starr's on Walnut Hills. They have invited Stoddard to go with them to their summer home in Massachusetts. He plans to leave Covington for Boston next Monday. Did Hudson see Octavius B. Frothingham's life of Richard Henry Channing. In it there are letters addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Mercens Spring, grandparents of his Arthur. Poor Father Joseph Damien Deveuster, thirteen years of holy and sublime silence and these upstarts broadcast to the world this melodramatic self-sacrifice, while Damien the real hero, silently lays down his life. :: X-3-g A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
