Illness has prevented MacCarthy from doing more than keeping up his relations with Patrick V. Hickey. MacCarthy, in an attempt to renew his acquaintance with the Ave Maria, submits a collection of short stories of Spanish folklore. Years ago he translated one of them for the Catholic World.
