Stoddard, Charles Warren, Covington, Kentucky, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1888 April 4

 Item — Box: CHUD 12
Identifier: CHUD X-3-g

Scope and Contents

Affairs at the present are much disturbed. Stoddard has laid aside the work that he has been doing on Monte Cassino. Stoddard has looked through the back numbers of the Critic for the clippings that Hudson requested. The little clock is a comfort for Stoddard. One of the boys who was in St. Paul last year wrote him that Charles Porter was drinking and gambling freely. Porter's extremely nervous temperament will break down under it. Stoddard hopes that the "Royal Guardsman," will be on duty before long. Stoddard has a copy of "Our Lady of Good Counsel." :: X-3-g A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
