 Item — Box: CHUD 9

Scope and Contents

Dorsey returns the corrected article "Mad Penitent of Todi". She corrected her error of placing Sodom and Gomorra at the bottom of the Dead Sea. De Salsy found the ruins of these two cities near the west border of the Dead Sea. Nellie Ella Loraine Dorsey showed Mrs. Dorsey proofs of an article relating to Commodore Kilty which surprised her. In 1862, Mother Angela Gillespie related the incident to Mrs. Dorsey and she wrote the story for a city newspaper. In it Mother Angela appears as the sister who interposed her body for Colonel Fry's safety in case the men outside should persist in their intention. Nellie Dorsey sails for Halifax on July 25th. Madeleine Vinton Dahlgren is writing her third novel. :: X-3-c A.L.S. 6pp. 12mo.
