Mannix, Mary E., Cincinnati, Ohio, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1886 July 24
Item — Box: CHUD 9
Identifier: CHUD X-3-c
Scope and Contents
Mannix comments adversely on the books Hudson sent for her to review. Mannix thinks the installments of Miss Fisher's story are too short, while she does not care for "Palms". She is glad to hear that Thomas F. Galwey is having better luck in his literary work. Mrs. Galwey is there with her sister Mrs. Disney . Maurice Francis Egan should be shown the bad taste of his chats on books. Miss Margaret McCabe has agreed to Mannix's suggestion that they should pay fifty dollars for articles contributed for the Advocate. The trial of John B. Mannix will begin next week. :: X-3-c A.L.S. 7pp. 8vo.
