Stoddard, Charles Warren, Covington, Kentucky, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1886 July 18
Item — Box: CHUD 9
Identifier: CHUD X-3-c
Scope and Contents
Stoddard thinks Schicky unreliable and he asks Hudson to pay the bill and charge it to his account. The boys spoke about the settlement, but thanks to the bullheadedness of Father Thomas Walsh, C.S.C., it turned out as it did. This is one of the memories for which Stoddard has to thank him. His health has been thoroughly shaken. Stoddard is glad he went to Notre Dame but what he learned there of the hypocrisy of priests and blackguardism of brothers has done him lasting injury. :: X-3-c A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
