Ryder, Eliot P., Saint Louis, Missouri, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1886 January 20
Item — Box: CHUD 8
Identifier: CHUD X-3-b
Scope and Contents
Ryder is seriously ill and confined to bed at the Alexian Brothers' Hospital. He is unable to write much. Ryder was gratified at the honor given him in the first issue of the Ave Maria in 1886. The proof reading on the Ave Maria is well done. Eleanor Donnelly 's sonnet on Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C., violates the rules, but is pretty in its ideas. His wife writes from New York that she will pay the Brothers $12 a month on his account. Ryder's only expense is reading matter. :: X-3-b A.L.S. 5pp. 12mo.
