McKenna thanks Hudson for sending the Ave Maria. Father Vincent de Paul, O.C.S.O. was not the first of his order to come to the New World. Father Urbain Guillet, O.S.C.O. came in 1805, but he and all the Trappists in America excepting Vincent and a few brothers returned to France under Dom Augustine de Lestrange, O.C.S.O. in 1814. Vincent was held in Canada and became its pioneer Trappist and the founder of its first monastery that of Our Lady of Petit Clairvaux in Nova Scotia. :: X-3-a A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
