 Item — Box: CHUD 7

Scope and Contents

Ryder has recovered from his illness enough to be comfortable, but is not well enough to do work. His wife's harshness and injustice have been difficult to bear. While in New Orleans, his wife's abuse became so great Ryder packed up and went to Memphis to the home of his wife's mother. She welcomed him cordially, inviting Ryder to stay with her so long as he wanted. She is aware of the trouble Ryder and his wife are having. In Memphis there is little prospect of work and Ryder cannot go else where because he has no money. :: X-2-o A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
