Egan, Maurice Francis, Brooklyn, New York, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1885
Scope and Contents
Of course Hudson paid for the sketch of Anna Hanson Dorsey. The Christmas story will be part of the compact. Mrs. Katharine Egan thanks Hudson particularly for the photos. She has had trouble with one of her eyes. Brother Stanislaus Michael Kurowski gave them some more Lourdes water. If Hudson has not sent the engraving, he should send it at once to Theodore De Vinni. Rossiter? Johnson has been asking about Hudson. Monsignor Thomas John Capel has "played out." It looked like bad faith for him to put his name on that English book. Baltimore is an unfit place to have a council. Egan would have used that pass if James Alphonsus McMaster had not been so constantly preoccupied about Gertrude McMaster's going away and so often in Baltimore. Those in religion have the best of it—tied down to one place, but voluntarily. :: X-2-o A.L.S. 3pp. 16mo.
