Egan, Maurice Francis, Brooklyn, New York, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1885 Monday
Item — Box: CHUD 7
Identifier: CHUD X-2-o
Scope and Contents
Egan has had some trouble in getting anybody to undertake the lithograph. The Photo-engraving people wanted more money for the new picture. Egan offered them the same price as before—$12.00. Egan advised Hudson not to use the picture at all, unless it can be used in the present size or unless Hudson feels that he can afford to have a pen and ink drawing made of it first. Egan sends the first part of the story. The Madonna of St. Luke was only saved from failure by very careful over-laying in the printing. :: X-2-o A.L.S. 1p. 8vo.
