Jenkins, Father Thomas J., Louisville, Kentucky, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1884 October 24

 Item — Box: CHUD 7
Identifier: CHUD X-2-n

Scope and Contents

Jenkins knows that he can rely on Hudson to patch up his work. He calls Hudson's attention to similarity between his screed and the appendix of Benedict Webb 's book. Jenkins wrote it as an introduction to Webb's, "Writings of Early Missionaries". Notice of the book has been sent to John Henry Cardinal Newman . Jenkins regrets the unnecessary search that he has caused Hudson to make in the Irish Monthly. He would like to attract attention in England and Ireland on the school question. Inquires are made regarding Father Edmund Hill, C.P . Jenkins would like Hudson to sell some work for him on a 20% commission basis. Enclosed is a clipping. :: X-2-n A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
