Starr, Eliza Allen, Chicago, Illinois, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1883 August 23

 Item — Box: CHUD 5
Identifier: CHUD X-2-l

Scope and Contents

Starr cannot write about Miss Eleanor Donnelly because they don't know each other. Maurice Francis Egan knows Donnelly and could write an attractive article. Starr knows of another person, a resident of Philadelphia who could write an article on Donnelly. B. T. Durand could also do the job. Starr believes that Catholic authors are neglected the recognition they deserve. Durand's story is a perfect life and romance, but his volumes have not won their way into the Catholic World. Eliot Ryder and Egan have struck a true note in the cause of Catholic Literature. :: X-2-l A.L.S. 5pp. 12mo.
