McFadden, P. P., Father James, Letterkenny, Ireland, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882 July 3
Scope and Contents
He is ashamed that he did not acknowledge Hudson's letter of February 2. He is indebted to Hudson for his charitable aid in connection with the disaster of August, 1880, and to the readers of the Ave Maria who contributed to the Flood Disaster Fund. Miss Smith deserves special mention for her charitable efforts. He is in the midst of many repairs and improvements to the ill-fated Church occasioned by the flood. He has achieved the prevention of a recurrence of the disaster by changing the river course. He describes some of the improvements made in the Church and hopes he will be able to see them all finished. :: X-2-j A.L.S. 5 pp. 16mo.
