Norfleet, James, Tarboro, North Carolina, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882 June 6
Item — Box: CHUD 4
Identifier: CHUD X-2-i
Scope and Contents
Norfleet mentions the remarks in the "Standard" of Philadelphia by Fr. Weuinger concerning Ingersoll and others of his class. Then Mr. Norfleet describes the world as "digging;" nothing that is fixed is grasped. Opinions are conflicting — his mind cannot solve the problems. Such men as Newman and Gibbons reassure him. He wishes that he could attend the commencement at Notre Dame. Hudson should give his regards to Fathers Walsh and Stoffel and Professors Coleman and Edwards. :: X-2-i A.L.S. 3pp. 4to.
