Jenkins, Father Thomas J., Hardinsburg, Kentucky, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882 May 9

 Item — Box: CHUD 4
Identifier: CHUD X-2-i

Scope and Contents

Jenkins sends Hudson a copy of his rector's jubilee address which Hudson may wish to note in the Ave Maria. He is negotiating with the rector to return to Louvain to take a course of study in scripture and theology. Father Edmund Hill, C.P., wrote saying he was busy with his duties at the Sacred Heart Retreat in Louisville. Jenkins inquires if Hill did not write stanzas for the fourteen stations of the Cross, before, which were published in the Catholic World. He thinks they are exquisite. Hudson should note in the Ave Maria that Benjamin Dion Hill and Father Edmund Hill, C.P., are the same person. Jenkins does not wish to give a notice of Monsignor Thomas Preston 's book. :: X-2-i A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
