Jenkins, Father Thomas J., Hardinsburg, Kentucky, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1881 October 10

 Item — Box: CHUD 3
Identifier: CHUD X-2-h

Scope and Contents

Jenkins encloses articles and poems on St. Joseph, which should be copious enough for Father Matthew Russell, S.J. He suggests that the book be dedicated to Russell. If he doesn't like Jenkins's editing, Russell can take the poems on their own merit. Jenkins is about to publish his pamphlet on the world-wide school question and he would like to have a friend in Ireland and England to favor his interests there. He requests Hudson's opinion on this matter. The last seventy-five pages of the manuscript of his "Child of Mary" was not as well written as the first part of the work. Jenkins inquires if Hudson has heard from Father Edmund Hill, C.P. :: X-2-h A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
