Lalor, Sister Mary de Sales, Abbeyleix, Ireland, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1880 August 11
Scope and Contents
Sister Lalor has checked the late issues of the Ave Maria to see if the contributions she received were published. Sister Lalor saw the account of the $30 and asks Hudson to send $30 more. It would be as great a charity to get bread for the starving children at the new convent as to send it anywhere in Ireland. Our Mother Mary is now appearing in 2 other parts of Ireland besides Knock. One place is 8 miles from Abbeyleix. Sister Lalor's brother in Ohio has two sons. One wishes to be a professional man and the other a priest. Hudson should inform her what the terms would be for both or one of the boys at Notre Dame. Note by Hudson: Father Corby will take both boys for $500, 10% reduction. :: X-2-f A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
