Meany, Mary L., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1878 July 12
Scope and Contents
She has mustered enough courage to make a beginning which she hopes Miss Starr, Miss Howe, Miss Stace, and other lady contributors will join. She encloses her article. Miss Meany is wondering if the Ave Maria would advertise in the St. Patrick's Monthly. The circular enclosed is one page of the St. Patrick's Monthly. She is getting it printed at the Catholic Protectory in Westchester, New York, in the same size and style as Brownson's Review. After Miss Meany receives the first copy the Bishop must approve of them as he was afraid to ask the Bishop in advance. Miss Meany is getting advertisements now so as to get the first number out by the beginning of next month. :: X-2-d A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
