de Pombriay, Henri, St. Louis, Missouri, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1878 April 8

 Item — Box: CHUD 1
Identifier: CHUD X-2-d

Scope and Contents

De Pombriay is sending the Vera Effigie S.U.D.N.G.C. to Hudson and hopes that he will be able to keep if for his personal property should Hudson's superior not wish, at present, this public devotion. De Pombriay has forwarded Hudson's letter for prayers to the oratory at Tours. He has not received any litanies or prayers, but that is because his grace of Tours left for Rome and did not receive his letter in time. Bishop Stephen Ryan permitted de Pombriay to send the revelations and Vera Effigies for examination. He prays that God may convince the Bishop of the truth of the revelations. In regard to the conversion of Hudson's father, De Pombriay tells of cases of reconversionone a relative by marriage and the other an officer in the French Army- made by Fr. Filly, S.J., and Mr. Dupont. They are now practising their religious duties. Hudson is to be of good heart and is to ask God to convert his father. He hopes all of Hudson's wishes are gratified. :: X-2-d A.L.S. 4pp. crown 8vo.
