The 3rd is to make the church into an effective vehicle for achieving peace by putting its resources into thnigs such as disarmament, draft opposition and abolition of nuclear weapons. Gordon then goes into the background and objectives of Pax Christi as an international organization. He says the major concerns of Pax Christi have to do with conscription and disarmament, and that a main objective is to educate Christians on the morality of peace and war through peace studies.
