General

Document. Gordon says that both books are worthy contributions to the memorialization of this tragic event. Gilbert offers a detailed account of the process of relocation; however the human impact is lost in the daily counts of transports arrived, victims, gasses, etc. Baum searches for the nature and source of institutionalized indifference to the extermination. Gordon says that his writings are too abstract and more appropriate for an intellectual audience. He recommends that a more popularized version be written.
