Letter, Document. Gordon sends a note with his article asking the editor to check on his subscription to WORLDVIEW and also asks if they sould be interested in a review essay on Bishop O'Connor's book, In Defense of Life . Gordon's review concerns two books on terrorism, Terror in Ireland: The Heritage of Hate by Edgar O'Ballance, and Never Again Without a Rifle: The Origins of Italian Terrorism by Alessandro Silj. Gordon describes the books as having serious shortcomings in style and approach; however they are useful in providing a historical look at the terrorism experienced in Ireland and Italy. Gordon says that while the IRA has a unifying and tangible objective in its opposition to British rule, Italian terrorism seems marked by commitment to revolution for its own sake.
