He also asks to be let know if any substantial editorial changes are made. Finally, he says that he is disappointed that his book "Camp Simon" has not yet been reviewed. In his article Gordon cautions that he thinks the President's promises that there will be no return to registration or the draft are empty promises. He raises objections to peacetime conscription and says that military training is an occasion of sin. Gordon contends that the church needs to become more active in educating about and promoting the cause of non-violence.
