The article and another article written by Gordon for Newsletter for Religion Teachers are included. ~ 9/81--Pax Christi is quoted as condemning the government's decision to develop the neutron warhead, and criticizes Reagan for announcing the decision at a time when peace associations were recalling the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 10/81--Gordon says that although the church has made steps to provide support to those facing questions of military service, many parishes and bishops need to do much more. He outlines what he thinks the fears of the church are in giving this support and counters with reasons the church needs to get more involved and meet its responsibilities.
