Gordon also wrote a letter to the judge presiding over the case and an article in included that appeared in Missoula's paper about Gordon's role in the case. ~ Gordon and John discuss for a few months starting in September of 1980 to January of 1981 whether or not Gordon could make an appearance and show the film THE REFUSAL at a support meeting before the trial on Feb. 3rd. After Gordon's visit, thank-you letters are sent. Gordon's letter to the judge asks for lenience and empathy in making the decision. The article in the paper (2/2) says that Gordon spoke to a gathering of 60 about each individual's moral responsibility to oppose war and violence and also showed the film THE REFUSAL. ~ from 9/13/80 to 2/6/81
