She claims that some of Gordon's points only confuse the issue, rather than clarifying it, and that the educated can easily obtain CO status, but the undereducated do not even know about it. She includes a statement of "SSS Official's Attitude Toward COs" and an article entitled "Carter Urged to Define Penalties for Avoiding Draft" from The New York Times.
