His 5-page article is attached. ~ Gordon writes an article to clarify the official position of the church regarding the draft and conscientious objection (of which he claims there is a lack of understanding evident in the previous debate). He claims that the church supported the just war doctrine until the advent of nuclear weapons, and that a Christian is conscience-bound not to serve in an unjust war. He defends the statement of the Commission as right in line with the church's position.
