Mary's first letter expresses her hopes that people will come to the conference and tells Gordon that she is looking forward to seeing him. Mary's second letter says she enclosed a brochure about the conference and a check for his air travel. The brochure shows that Gordon is to be the keynote speaker and a film about Franz Jaegerstaetter is to be shown.
