Document. 15-page essay written by Gordon and later published regarding the post-war prospects of the Catholic peace movement. ~ He outlines the responsibilities of the peace movement as working for amnesty for war resisters, to free political prisoners held by the U.S. in South Vietnam, and to rebuild destroyed area of Indochina. He says once these things are done, new policies and priorities must be promoted, and an assessment of the war must be made according to the just war conditions and principles as well as an assessment of the validity of these principles. He goes on to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the Catholic peace movement for a number of pages and outlines the task for the peace movement as it moves into the post-Vietnam era. He details the progress that has been made over the years giving credit to a number of peace organizations.
