Document. An article of Gordon's which appeared in US CATHOLIC / JUBILEE in their SOUNDING BOARD "One Person's Opinion On a Several-Sided Subject" ~ Unilateral disarmament does not require immediate abandonment of all arms. What it proposes is a "sequence of stages publicly undertaken in the hope that, once the initial stages have been completed, a basis for trust will have been established. . . " Goes on to give the essential elements of such a program. The article then has lengthy writings under the headings of "The obvious First Point", "The overriding Moral Imperative", "Let us Make no Mistakes About It". Then what follows Zahn's article is a feedback section in which subscribers to the magazine respond. 7 "percentage" questions were asked, and then fifty personal responses were printed from a varied source of readers ranging in assesment of the article from total agreement to total disagreeement and everything inbetween. ~ US CATHOLIC / JUBILEE ~ pages 12-17 ~ 07/?
