Document. 28-page paper with footnotes. ~ In the first part Zahn discusses the traitors-turned-heros of Nazi Germany and links it to dissenters of Vietnam. In the second part Zahn discusses the various kinds of resistance to immoral war including conscientious objection, tax refusals, and "creative destruction." In the third part Zahn discusses the kinds of resistance that are available to and practiced by already enlisted military men, and he also points out the dangers, limitations and discriminations that a military objector is subject to. The fourth part expands on the moral issues that military men must face, how the military deals with inside resistance, and the hostilities that conscientious objectors face. Zahn argues that men cannot be expected to suspend their consciences when they put on the military uniform and that the unquestioning obedience that the army demands must be abandoned.
