Correspondence back and forth ~ 3/14--Jim writes Gordon to says that CRS is registered as an approved alternative service for conscientious objectors; however he says that they do not have much work for young people without training and it costs too much to support volunteers ($10,000 per person). 3/16--Gordon writes thanking Jim for his letter, saying he does not know where the money can be raised but that churches may be willing to shoulder some of the responsibility. He says he will give the matter more thought.
