Letter. Gordon Zahn ~ Letter to Gordon from Jim, return letter to Jim from Gordon. ~ 12/22--Jim thanks Gordon for his contribution, saying that the deficit is still troubling them. He mentions some fundraising events in the months ahead and asks Gordon for any ideas on the fundraising proposal. 1/11--Gordon says he is enclosing the Spiro proceedings, saying that Higgins came out strongly on behalf of war CO's. He says he is encouraged to see the shift at COMMONWEAL. He suggests that CPF, FOR, etc., start a campaign for recognizing conscientious objectors to the surtax, and says that he plans to write letters to newspapers about it. He says that he will go along with what Jim thinks concerning the letter to the sponsors.
