Correspondence. Letter to Gordon Zahn re: Gordon's review of Guenter Lewy's book on the Catholic Church and Hitler. ~ An angry letter in which Mr. Madigan objects "violently" to Mr. Zahn's review of Lewy's book. He says that Lewy's book is biased and questions the motivation that produced it. States that with all of the recent books in which Jews attack the Catholic Church the authors are doing precisely what they claim to be condemning in others. Furthermore he objects to the recent telecast on "The Open Mind" in which Mr. Zahn and Mr. Lewy were apparently appearing as representitives of an accepted Christian point of view. Mr. Madigan does not accept the two men's opinions as the Christian point of view and has told both the National Broadcast Company as well as the producer of the show as much. ~ New York, New York
