Correspondence. Letter to Gordon Zahn. ~ Responding to a letter Gordon sent him. He's sorry to hear Gordon is having such a "tough break". Sorry to hear about Freddy and hopes it is not as bad as Gordon's letter made it seem. "He's too young to declare it a hopeless case. " He (Maurice) has gotten quite religious since being in Florida, receives Sacraments almost every week. Hears that he may be stationed overseas. Social life is going very well due to U. of Miami co-eds that are looking for a husband, but he's still in love with the girl back home, but the weenie roasts, etc. are free so why not? There is one man he admires, Lew Agres(?), he's more of a man than most in the Army and he cannot understand why the papers are "knocking him so much. " This is supposed to be a free country, where a man can believe as he likes. ~ 04/19 ~ Written from Miami Beach, Florida
