The letter Blanc forwarded gave no information as to the contents of the box; she presumes it it from Canada and contains money which their Mother General sends to continue their building. Mother General has ordered that all money paid "a la caisse general" in their province should be transferred to them. Since the return of the children their infirmary is filled. In her last letter, Madame told that Elmire Jacob had the scarletina; she died on Sunday morning. There are two cases now almost convalescent as Drs. Merrick and Palmer assure them. Elmire's death has produced a panic; some of the children have been withdrawn and they expect others will follow.
