Timon presumes that McFarland knows that Father F. McKeon' s own diocese is Brooklyn where he for a long time exercised the ministry. Through the spirit of compassion Timon took him in when he was a wanderer. Like McFarland he thinks there is hope that McKeon has learned his lesson; however, he could not receive him back.
