She tells McMaster that yesterday Nov. 2. the Mother and Mother Agatha left for Cheyenne, while Mother St. Anthony and her little Indian left for Avoca. Reverend Mother does not think she will be away long, but Saint John supposes it will be rather longer than she expects. The water came the day she wrote, so she could not acknowledge it. She thanks him for the grapes, and reminds him of the story of Saint Gertrude, who ate a bunch of grapes to refresh the Christ within her. She supposes he will be coming to Baltimore soon to visit her. She will be writing for the the Feast of Saint Gertrude. Florence Troy will be married Tuesday at a Nuptial Mass. She asks him to pray so that she may make use of the three months quiet and rest to draw nearer to God.
